Haynes Whaley Associates participated in a field trip with Spring Branch I.S. D.’s Northbrook Middle School yesterday down in Galveston.  These AP Art students were taught by our best on the secrets to building award-winning sandcastles.  Charles Eggert, Marco Cano, and Derick Thompson went down to Stewart Beach with me in a joint effort with the district to give these 7th and 8th graders a wonderful day at the beach.  Most of these kids had never even seen the ocean, and took back souvenir sand in baggies to remember the day and what they learned.  Yes, these castles were carved almost entirely by the students, with a little help from our own resident artists Charles, Marco, and Derick.
