“Best Traditional” for Haynes Whaley

On Saturday, June 6th, Haynes Whaley participated in AIA Houston’s 23rd Annual Sandcastle Competition, coming home with a win in the “Best Traditional” category. However, the highlight of the day was the team’s “green” water pump design that successfully brought water (a critical ingredient in sandcastle building) from the Gulf of Mexico to their build site.

AIA SandCastle Building Workshop

On May 7th, Amy Moen and I demonstrated sandcastle building techniques at AIA Houston’s annual workshop and rules review. A&E The Graphics Complex hosted the crowd of 50+ in their backyard, and they joined with Rosenberger Construction to sponsor the event.
